Sun Piaoyang turned formerly state-led Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine into one of China's largest producers of anti-infection and tumor-treating medicines. Sun became the head of Jiangsu Hengrui in 1990 when he was 32 years old. Sun's wife Zhong Huijuan is the chair of Hansoh Pharmaceutical, a drug maker that listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in June 2019.
